{welcome baby Presley}

As Some of you may know I was to have a scheduled Induction On October 1st - my 38-ish week mark ... well, on Monday Sept 30, my little babe tryed to have other plans, as the morning BEFORE my induction, my water broke... at first it was a breeze, i mean it!, i had VERY mild contractions however almost NOTHING was happening... so after all that I ended up getting induced anyways... I will spare you any *ehem* gory *ehem* details but i will say, once I started progressing it took LESS than one and a half hours to go from 2 cm dilated to holding baby in my arms <3 <3<3  (no time to get any drugs)
I was able to take some photos :-D inspite of just pushing out a baby :-P

Counting contractions and the arrival

WELCOME PRESLEY!

{hospital bag - baby edition}

With my induction date FAST approaching I figured instead of baking up a storm, I maybe should pack the bag for me and the baby - well needless to say, I got a little distracted when it came to packing my bag (so there is 2 days till I get induced and still no mommy bag :-P )

I am probably forgetting something in there but this is what I have put in to bring -

2 fleece sleepers
2 cotton sleepers
3 t-shirt onzies
1 long sleeve onzie
3 receiving blankets
3 pairs of socks
3 cute headband bows
3 pairs of scratch mittens
2 newborn soothers
Mini Diaper cream (she probably wont need this I just think it is tiny and cute)
Trial size diaper wipes
2 newborn diapers (the hospital provides diapers and wipes)
1 fluffy blanket

Sleepers

bow headbands

newborn soothers

cute toy (just because)

scratch mittens

socks

Optional - about 1 tsp -------------------- Pumpkin Pie Spice (Epicure) -adds more flavor mmmmm

mix all ingredients WELL (it will be a very thick batter)
Bake in oven at `350 for 20-30 min (depending how big you make your cupcakes

let cool for 20 mins and sprinkle some Icing sugar on top - or you can go the EXTRA mile and add some cream cheese icing and sprinkle on a little nutmeg

{37 weeks - and a couple days}

Well my busy life has finally stopped.....uuuuuhh let me explain .... I just mean that all the photo shoots and makeups (bridal) I had booked before baby came are now done! I am officially OFF WORK (except house work but that NEVER ends) just in the nick-of-time too because on Friday I found out that if I don't have Presley by week 38-39, the suggest INDUCTION! :-O This means I will have Baby in less than 2 weeks EEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKK .... I'm a little bit freaking out for a few reasons -  #1. I have heard on MANY occasions that induction is more painful (I didn't think that was even possible) - #2. I am still not as prepared as I should be (especially considering that this is my second so you would think i would have known better) - #3. It is still very surreal, that I will have a 3 year old AND a Newborn! - I guess this is as good as prepared gets for me right now... I still need to wash baby clothes, cook and freeze some meals, PACK MY HOSPITAL BAG, on top of a list of things we don't even have.... UHG! ... Bring it ON!

Some of the Cute Pom-Poms I made to hang from Presley's ceiling in place of a mobile (we couldn't find one we liked)

{10 things people don't really mention about having a baby}

I was thinking the other day of things you don't really hear people say about Having a baby... seeing that I am almost 36 weeks pregnant (with my second) I thought this may be fitting ...

1) Those breathing exercises you see people doing on the movies.... are JUNK ... they don't do ANYTHING!!! except maybe make you thirsty !

2) The distance between your contractions really, has nothing to do with how dilated you are... Just because your contractions are 45 sec apart, UNFORTUNATELY does not mean your really dilated!

3) Not everyone water SPLOOSHES when it breaks...mine just slowly leaked out for the 37 hours I was in labour :-O

4) Babies don't look perfect when they come out like the movies.... now, I'm not saying they are all Ugly ....

5) Some people hated being in the Hospital after baby was born... I KIND OF liked it!... I didn't have to cook or clean and I still got meals, I say 'KIND OF' because although the non cooking part was great, you don't really get a lot of sleep - everyone is always coming in and out of your room every 30 min

6) When people say 'sleep when baby sleeps', that is bull ***t ... I always felt like there were other things to do -  like cooking cleaning and oh ya LIVING ... just cause you have a newborn doesn't mean your life ends! (especially if you have other children)

7) People WILL ALWAYS try to give you 'parenting advice' ... just grin and muster every ounce of self-control, not to punch them in the face.

8) You think your hormones are out-of-wack NOW?.. just wait until after you have baby - that's all I'm going to say (dads BEWARE)

9) Despite what trash magazines show you, you will still look about 5 months pregnant for a while after you give birth ... it's normal (and its so GOOEY feeling - like actual JELLO)

10) Which brings me to my last point... be careful the first time you decide to workout...or sneeze .. or jump ... or laugh to hard ...you will probably pee a little... or a bit more than a little - OOPSY

 One more for good luck...
