{10 things people don't really mention about having a baby}

I was thinking the other day of things you don't really hear people say about Having a baby... seeing that I am almost 36 weeks pregnant (with my second) I thought this may be fitting ...

1) Those breathing exercises you see people doing on the movies.... are JUNK ... they don't do ANYTHING!!! except maybe make you thirsty !

2) The distance between your contractions really, has nothing to do with how dilated you are... Just because your contractions are 45 sec apart, UNFORTUNATELY does not mean your really dilated!

3) Not everyone water SPLOOSHES when it breaks...mine just slowly leaked out for the 37 hours I was in labour :-O

4) Babies don't look perfect when they come out like the movies.... now, I'm not saying they are all Ugly ....

5) Some people hated being in the Hospital after baby was born... I KIND OF liked it!... I didn't have to cook or clean and I still got meals, I say 'KIND OF' because although the non cooking part was great, you don't really get a lot of sleep - everyone is always coming in and out of your room every 30 min

6) When people say 'sleep when baby sleeps', that is bull ***t ... I always felt like there were other things to do -  like cooking cleaning and oh ya LIVING ... just cause you have a newborn doesn't mean your life ends! (especially if you have other children)

7) People WILL ALWAYS try to give you 'parenting advice' ... just grin and muster every ounce of self-control, not to punch them in the face.

8) You think your hormones are out-of-wack NOW?.. just wait until after you have baby - that's all I'm going to say (dads BEWARE)

9) Despite what trash magazines show you, you will still look about 5 months pregnant for a while after you give birth ... it's normal (and its so GOOEY feeling - like actual JELLO)

10) Which brings me to my last point... be careful the first time you decide to workout...or sneeze .. or jump ... or laugh to hard ...you will probably pee a little... or a bit more than a little - OOPSY

 One more for good luck...
